Do You Write Every Day?

Updated: Feb 18, 2023

I have to admit it. I do not write every day. And that is okay! The key to productive writing is (in my opinion) making time every WEEK to move your highest priority projects forward. I may not write every single day, but I can guarantee you that even in my busiest weeks I find at least 5 hours for my writing projects. And over time, that adds up!

I don't necessarily "find time" to write every day. However, I do "make time" to write every week.

I spend at least 30 minutes before the start of every week taking stock of my to do list, clarifying my priorities, and identifying ideal times to write (and that may not be every day, Monday to Friday).

For those of you who follow me on Instagram, you know that I am committed to my Passion Planner. This does not mean I am 100% analog all the time (this is 2023, after all!). BUT I use the paper planner to assign tasks, meetings, teaching prep, etc, to specific times each day. This ensures that I don't just bounce from Google calendar event to my inbox and back all day, and make the most of the time I do have.

If you want to know how I plan my writing week, I have a download available below "7 Essential Steps to Writing During the Week." Take a look and let me know how it goes.

You've got this!
